There are two things I know for sure. First, when my palms get sweaty and my ears are on fire, I know I need to speak up. Secondly, the moment I say “yes” without one skeptical thought or fear…that calmness is a sign I made the right choice.
Today I am happy to share with you my most recent trip to Kansas City! Yes, I only knew three out of 90 women all piled in one space for a solid 24 hours, but it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The first nine hours were spent in a van with a group of women, in all stages of life, who I now call friends and mentors.
If there is one thing you take away from this blog post, it is that the people placed in your life are no mistake. Every place you end up is a stepping stone for where you are planned to be.
Day one. Coffee was served, blankets were bundled, bags were stuffed, and off we went! I never imagined a car ride would be so impactful. For hours we shared stories, laughs, and what I heard has left me speechless at the thought of what God can do.
We stopped over and over again because hello we are women and had to stop at Panera and Starbucks. I haven’t been so inactive, filled with my non-paleo foods and hyped up on caffeine in a very long time, but here I am.
I’m going to jump right into our arrival. We stayed at the home of the leader of the retreat from Young Living, Jami Nato. She is a young mom, wife, and millionaire all before the age of 40!
The event was held at a place called Camp Timberlake, a cabin deep in the forest that truly set you a part from society for a little. There were endless coffee pots filled, almond milk creamer, lara bars, and my favorite desserts from Trader Joes. Needless to say, I was set.
The first night they served margaritas and Jami gave one of the best speeches I have ever heard. She shared how she turned her small rocks she offered the world into a boulder of success.
The following day after being served breakfast bright and early, we started off by getting out our journals and answering questions that defined our dreams. I just kept writing and writing until on my paper I saw a page full of what I want my dream to be.
We then cut through magazines and put our dreams into a picture on our vision boards! Check out what mine looked like. If you have never made one of these, I highly recommend that you do because it is therapeutic and self-motivating!
I’ve always had the feeling I am called for something! Have you ever felt that way? I don’t know how, where, or when, but I am sure that my passion for sharing stories, creating cozy spots of comfort, and shining light will plant the seed for the life God wants me to live.
The day carried on with people sharing their testimonies, in-chair yoga sessions, giveaways, a few dance parties, and eating snacks on snacks.
The meals they provided were from Zoe’s Kitchen, local butchers, and homemade baked goods. I was not expecting such serving hearts!
I was very open with my issues in my gastrointestinal tract that have yet to be resolved. People from this company were just handing me digestive enzymes, oils to rub on my stomach, and advice on how to naturally heal myself. I hope you join me on my upcoming journey to try to figure this out! Digize oil and the enzymes helped! Thank you to those who were so generous. Check out my two life savors below:
Overlooking the food, I tried focusing on the why. Why was I there? I saw the women around me and said those are the leaders I want to follow.
Have you ever had people in your life you are just instantly attracted to? Don’t ignore that feeling! Go up and tell them, give a compliment and show your interest. Those small steps could lead to an opportunity! It’s all about who you know…
I learned about the Young Living business plan and how they are trying to put money in the hands of good people. These women have given their money to fund churches, pay for adoptions, and fundraise for the philanthropic work done by the Young Living Foundation. I never knew these opportunities existed!

What do I want for you?
I want you to start using affirming words and writing in your journal saying, “I am. I will.” I skimmed my journal and saw I always wrote saying, “I hope” or “I wish”. If I bring what I dream into existence, it WILL happen. I believe in myself and most importantly I believe in you.
I would definitely return back to Kansas City. It was beautiful with a clean, healthy vibe that carried everywhere we went. Until next time! Time to see how essential oils can positively enhance my life towards the boulder of success I wish to create.
Gather those rocks my dear and live beautifully!
